About the kiln

This is Norway’s largest anagama kiln — the largest in Scandinavia and the tallest in Northern Europe. The Kjærrahvalen Association organizes firings every summer from late June to mid-July. The kiln can hold up to 21 cubic meters of ceramics! Its tallest point can accommodate sculptures over 2.4 meters high. The interior is also over two meters wide.
